G2 Speech - Expert in speech recognition

.:: Integrations ::.

One of the great things of G2 Speech is the ability to integrate. LegalSpeech can be integrated seamlessly with your organization’s information system. For instance, when your organization uses a document management system, LegalSpeech will be integrated with that, in such a way you will not even notice you are using two different systems.

To make this possible, LegalSpeech has been designed for flexible coordination with other systems.

Up to now, more than eighty integrations have been developed, ranging from integrations with very specific, sophisticated software for law firms to integrations with more common software.

A tailor made integration or a generic solution thanks to the integration toolkit, G2 Speech makes it all possible.

In our product line we differentiate between three types of integrations:

1. Front-end
More than once it will occur that you are working in another –than LegalSpeech– information system when you want to start a dictation. From here you can select a case and start dictating. Thanks to the LegalSpeech integration with your office’s information system all relevant data will be put in the dictation. This information contains the subject, case number, status, address data, etc. You can specify which information should be put into the dictation and which should not.

These integrations are normally carried out using COM/ActiveX, by making methods and properties available and generating events.

2. Back-end
When you have finished your dictation, your spoken words will be converted into text by LegalSpeech. Afterwards, this document will be distributed to other information systems. Using LegalSpeech you will have the opportunity to send the reports, in draft or final version, to a variety of external information systems.

The formats used include XML, RTF, ASCII and HTML. The communication techniques used include MLLP, Raw Sockets, HTTP, Flat Files, COM and ODBC.

The integration toolkit comprises a standard implementation for XML. An advanced communication engine and parsing engine are available, guaranteeing maximum flexibility.

3. Dictation viewer
The dictation viewer is a web viewer that allows you to retrieve dictations from the system, either as text or sound. The information can be retrieved with a standard web browser or web browser control. External systems rely on the G2 Speech system for storing, filing and managing dictations, and for displaying dictations by means of this integration facility.

“The system benefits are clear and within 6 months of deployment we have already improved our fee earner / secretary ratio.”
