Peter Quist (one of the partners) is particularly enthusiastic about the freedom that digital dictation gives him – he can send his dictation to the office from anywhere in the world. Mr Quist uses General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), which allows him to record a wireless dictation and send it to the office by e-mail. He can also call in to the office computer system by wireless using his notebook computer. He can then access any file, consult legal precedents, and check client details.
