How ‘Mobile Working’ can support professionals during a lockdown

In these unprecedent times with the coronavirus amongst us, it is more important than ever for professionals with healthcare, legal and business backgrounds to continue working during lockdown, as well as our new working reality. One of the challenges they are currently facing is accessing their work from an external location away from the office, mostly their home offices.

Working from mobile devices

We notice that the demand for professional mobile apps, integrated with the software solutions they are using at their workspace, is rapidly increasing. We have therefore designed a mobile suite, G2 Mobile, which is completely aligned with our document management solution SpeechReport.

Our mobile suite consists of two apps, a digital dictation app and a sign off app, which are accessible from your mobile device, and can be downloaded from the Apple and Google Play Stores. Both apps are designed with the user in mind, enabling them to create documents on the go and providing online access to their correspondence away from their desks.

The apps, when connected to the internet, stay in sync with SpeechReport and reports can be sent back to a preconfigured workflow for other professionals, such as a supervisor or secretarial staff, to pick up.

Working from your laptop

In some cases, a mobile device like a smartphone or tablet does not provide all the functionality you might need. For those scenarios we support a host of virtualisation technologies that enable you to access our SpeechReport Client software from a remote location via a computer or laptop.

If you already use virtualisation technologies like Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, VMware Horizon View or Microsoft Terminal Server to gain access to your work environment, we can advise and assist you in making our software available too. Our consultants use best-practice guidelines including experiences with previous implementations and supplier advise.
