We are happy to be a partner in this prestigious award event. The category we have sponsored is called ´Volunteer of the Year´. Staff and volunteers are working tirelessly at the Trust to ensure world-class patient care and it is essential this is recognised and rewarded. Volunteers are an important and integral part of the hospital team. They do a vital job to ensure excellent patient service and support the day-to-day running of the health care they offer. The awards were open to volunteers across both the acute hospital and community.

UK Sales Manager Michael Spink attended the Blackpool staff awards on G2 Speech behalf. Mike says: “The awards took place at the prestigious Tower Ballroom in Blackpool (for those who are fans of Strictly Come Dancing will be familiar with the venue!). With over 500 members of Blackpool staff in attendance, the night was a fantastic success and one which was thoroughly enjoyed by me. I had the honour of presenting the Volunteer of the Year award which was won by Jean and Deny’s Barbers. The evening also provided an opportunity to enjoy the company of Blackpool staff from all areas of the Trust.”

We have been working together with Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, since November 2013. The Trust decided to look at new technologies for clinical reporting, as the current analogue methods were not as efficient as the Trust would like. Due to pressures on the NHS, the Trust needed to work more efficiently than ever to keep up with those pressures and so searched for innovative methods to aid the process. The Trust opted for our solution SpeechReport, a platform that helped standardised documentation creation across the Trust and is providing a more efficient and streamlined way of working.
