This week we will be celebrating a fantastic achievement with the UK’s largest NHS Trust! We’ve reached a momentous milestone at Barts Health NHS Trust with the creation of over 1 million documents.
The Trust has been utilising our speech recognition, digital dictation and workflow management solutions since April 2012. During this time they have utilised both MediSpeech and SpeechReport – SpeechReport being the latest in the digital offering provided by G2 Speech.
The key reasons for the introduction of the solution in the first instance was to create efficiency savings, improve productivity and to create an electronic distribution that is integrated with Cerner Millennium. The Trust has noted significant rises in production – in Cellular Pathology alone they’ve seen a rise from 45,000 documents a year, to 67,000 documents a year – using the same number of secretarial support staff.
The Trust is currently live with MediSpeech trust-wide and more recently has made the transition to SpeechReport within departments including: Colorectal, Breast, Hepatology and Dental. The Trust has already noted huge benefits to the digitalisation of their correspondence and are extremely excited to see what the future with SpeechReport has in store for them.
